Oh New Love. Oh Shoe Love!
I have seen you girls walking around in your Baker shoes and I didn't think much of it. I must admit that I saw the shoes in this post and I NEEDED to find them. So I can't say that I found them yet, but I did fall in love, AGAIN and AGAIN. I think I have a crush on shoes. (that I can hardly wear right now due to a aggravated injury)

What I Wore - Brown and Coral
I must say that I do not buy outfits. I buy single pieces to fit with what I already own... or just because I like them and make them fit later. Since I tend to buy pieces that I love, they fit into my wardrobe without many problems, but sometimes things WORK!
I recently thrifted a coral cardigan (because I need more cardigans).... shortly after, I bought coral earrings on sale. They were such a good deal and I LOVE the color and design of them. My husband just bought me a brown vneck dress (so I would look hot ;) ). Click outfit. This is what I mean by WORKS!
I think this outfit might look better with brown shoes, but I don't have the shoes that I want so I wore these gold ones. It works for me and I feel GREAT!
Thanks for the dress that completed the outfit Babe!

Fifteen Minute Thrifting
Last weekend, the GIRLS and I went thrifting. I picked up a GORGEOUS black and white strapless Ann Taylor and was immediately in love. I will try something I love on no matter what the size says. You never know right? Well this one didn't even come close so I handed it off to my AWESOME sister in law to try. No luck either but closer!
The story goes that I have been thinking about this dress since Saturday. It has been bugging me! Ann Taylor dress with nothing wrong for $8. Knowing I could find someone who would wear the dress, I went back to get the dress. Sadly it was gone. (OF COURSE!) I must say that I still hold a tear for that dear dress. (Tear)
On a better note, I was in the store for 15 minutes including time to look for that dress and check out. I found these two dresses. I am super excited to wear them.
What do you think?

And don't mind that I am holding the back up. Hubs wasn't here to zip me up!

You can't tell but this dress has little red and blue dots on it. So CUTE!

What I Wore- A Night Out
If you haven't noticed, I don't go OUT much. My husband and I go out to eat and to movies, and we do things like bike riding and things, but we don't go clubbing or to bars or anything like that.
Last weekend, we had my sister in law's bachelorette weekend. We spent part of Saturday thrifting... her idea (I LOVE THIS GIRL!), we spent quality time playing dress up (my first time with that), and then we got ready to GO OUT!
The weather... was NOT a fan of our plans. One of the girls, C, straightened our hair (first time EVER for me. I loved it! I need a Chi. Do you use one?) As we went to leave for our destination, the radio was spouting off about tornado warnings. ACK! I don't mind storms when I am in my house, with a basement. I do not like to be the one driving into severe weather purposely. We ended up turning back and waiting out the worst of the storm. We got much of a late start and were bummed about it but we made the best of the night!
Sorry about the main attraction being broken J!
Good luck J! I can't wait to take pictures of your wedding! It is going to be beautiful!

Pashionately Fashionable - Black, White, and Striped
This is something that I wore to work on a non Friday jeans day. I like that I could wear this into the office and look nice but put a jacket on for my sales calls. (I also switched into my beloved A2 Aerosoles Black Peep Toe Pumps)
White tshirts or tshirts in general are a favorite building block of mine. They always look nice in a non crew neck version and they are easy to layer over. Button downs tend to gap and a lot of sleeveless shirts tend to show too much cleavage.
I think these cropped pants should be a tad bit shorter? What do you think? Do they make me look shorter or wider? (Not that I can't look shorter. I am like 5' 10" and I like to wear 3+ inch heels)
Wait til you see what shoes I wore to a improptu run to Gander Mountain... coming soon in a future post.

This reminds me of the shirt, pants, and vest outfits that you see in the wild west movies on the gun slingers or the bankers. Too funny!
This necklace is my insta rock and roll necklace. I love that it is a little pearl and a little black chain with some rockin silver angel wings. I also love that it was like $6 at Target!
Vest- H&M
Tshirt- Mossimo via Target
Cropped Pants- Target
Shoes - Crocs (due to previously mentioned foot reinjury)
Belt - via a shirt I bought at Herbergers (seriously I wear the belts more than the shirts)

What I Wore - Green and Flowery
I bought this dress for a dollar at a garage sale. It is NOT something that I would pick up in a store. Or at least not something I would buy. I find that garage sales and thrifting are the perfect opportunity to buy something that might be out of your comfort zone. Maybe you have never tried sequins, or a red skirt, or something floral. When you spend a $1 you don't wear it right away or EVER. If you have paid even $25 for a dress like this in the store and not worn it, it might bother you. Guilt in your closet is not a good thing. That is why I feel so relieved when I do a closet clean out and get rid of items like that hanging in my closet.
Jess what do you think? I know you weren't too keen on this dress when you saw it in my closet.

Dress - Exhilaration - garage sale
Necklace - made by me
Flip flops - Old Navy
Hair - UGH!
