Me and the tree...

Starting sometime next week, I will be having a change of scenery when we move into our new house. For now you get the back yard of our rental.

This skirt was an awesome purchase it is SUPER comfy.

Flattering... pants?

I thought this outfit was sorta flattering... this is where the pictures tell the true story. Let me have it. How bad is it?

RIP sunglasses. My lovely dog ATE my sunglasses. I replaced them already so it is ok.
Thanks honey for understanding that I NEED sunglasses.

I want to cut my hair shorter and edgier. What do you think?

Gray is the shirt.. gray was my mood...

The boots and the belt bracelet are thrift store finds from this weekend. I think the boots need a wipe up loving, but they are both beat up, loved up, great!

Work, Work, Work

I have been taking outfit pictures and I will be showing you them when I get a chance. Things are mega busy in a good way right now. We are closing on a house a week from Thursday so there is A LOT of packing to be done plus things are picking up for me at work. More responsibility for me and an exciting opportunity.

In the mean time when I can't BUY things (semi self imposed, we are buying a house, need to hold onto money ban?) I keep finding reasons to buy things and clothing items that I NEED for work.

As I am in marketing, my face is the company's face. That means a lot, especially in this current (cough crappy) market.

Don't you think that I NEED these to help me look professional without sweltering in my all black pants suit?

Click on the dresses for links to these items.
Almost all are via Nordstroms.

Favorites

Have I said lately that I LOVE this cardigan!? I LOVE it. My Target cardigan was a thrift store find. Along with the Ralph Lauren Jean Jacket that I am wearing. My other favorite item of this outfit? My necklace as a bracelet! My mom bought this necklace a while ago and since she never wore it, I talked her into giving it to me. I have worn it A LOT lately. I LOVE THE NECKLACE! Thanks MOM!

Thrifting Skirt

I found this skirt at goodwill a couple weeks ago for $3.99. I LOVE IT! When I first bought the skirt the waistband didn't work for me. Since then I have been waiting to fix the waistband. It has been torture watching my skirt sit on the fix it pile. (Something is wrong with my sewing machine.) I finally just said forget it! I am wearing it broken! SO here is my awesome skirt! Add another pencil skirt to my weardrobe.

On a side note, I might as well be on a shopping ban like everyone else. I have bought VERY little lately as we are within 20 days of closing on our new house!

Just because I said I haven't bought much, this shirt and tank are new... oops. I said ALMOST nothing new!

I want to canvas this picture and hang it on my wall. Sad?

Here is my solution to the broken skirt. I used the belt from a swimsuit to hold up my skirt under my shirt.
Check out the awesome texture/fabric on this skirt!!!!! LOVE LOVE!!!
