Dressing to avoid disaster... Bravissimo

I keep coming across this website and I think it is a sign.
The Bravissimo site is dedicated to options for large breasted women. When I have some money, I am going to be looking into the site closer.

Being a large chested woman makes it difficult to find bras. NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to find cute bras.

CUTE BRAS FOR BIG GIRLS! Yay!

Now if only I knew what size to order. I mean we all know how hard it can be to get a bra to fit. With this being international I see problems.
Grrr
Now clothes on the other hand often easier. Clothes that are meant for large chested girls??? Hmmm intriguing. Check out these dresses meant for chesty girls. I think I am in love!

And Swimwear TOO!!!!!

I will be looking into this when I have money. For those of you who have some money and the same "problem" of being large chested, let me know if you have any luck! Save some for me though!

This not shopping thing is ROUGH!

Since my husband and I are buying a house, I am trying to spend less money. Why is it that I am finding tons of things that I NEED...ok want. I LOVE these pants and they would look great for work.

I WUV them!

These shoes aren't made for this...

Do you ever have those days when you dress for one thing and end up doing something completely different. I dressed to go to a seminar but I ended up out on some construction job sites. These shoes were NOT meant for that.

House filling help.

Ok... here is a taste of my house buying ideas. I love this chandelier and it is not too spendy.

PLEASE! I need these shoes!

PLEASE CAN I HAVE THESE! Size 11! I would be SOOOO in love. Granted I need some work shoes but I could wear these to work. Just not on dressy business days. PLEASE!

Solestruck.com even carries my size!!! WOW!

Reasons I need them:
They are sexy.
They are studded.
They are sexy.
Yep that is enough reason for me.... now for the money part!

P.S. Can you tell that I have not been shopping lately. We are saving money for our house purchase.... NEXT MONTH!... and I haven't been buying anything. This not shopping is difficult. I am going to go on a spending spree once the house stuff is taken care of. I will need to get a hair cut and color, some summer clothes, and some WORK shoes. (Closed toe and everything.)

Out of my comfort zone

I wanted to try something new with my wardrobe. I have had these grey pants for a while now. I couldn't figure out how I wanted to wear them. I would put them on and take them off. I wasn't able to find something that I felt was me. I am still not sure that I will be keeping these pants as I wasn't impressed with anything other than the comfort. I am proud of myself for trying something like this! This blog and my readers has encouraged me to try new things. Score!

Pops of color at the top middle and bottom.

Any ideas on what else to try for these pants? They are soft, grey, and they have a tapered leg shape. I usually wear straight leg or boot cut pants. I would be willing to give them another try if you have some ideas for me!

CaSuaL tO DrEsSi.....Er

This is casual Friday... with comfort.

And my crazy Friday posing.

This is casual Friday when it's warm enough to take off that top layer! YAY!

This is the jacket that I hang over my office chair so that I can be dressi...er.

This is me sinking into the grass in the yard.
I am still learning to walk in heels. Today I got my first trial walking around a construction jobsite in heels. I PASSED! The shoes are a little worse for the wear.

Great Lengths

This is GREAT!

I have trouble finding dresses that are the right length for me. My chest steals some of the length that I need to keep dresses for work the appropriate length. If I find a dress that is fitted, it is hardly ever long enough. This would solve that problem. Remember this post? Problem solved. I know that I have several dresses that could use the wearing of this slip. That would make this an investment piece right? Maybe after the house stuff is settled.

This slip is meant to be shown under your dresses and or skirts to extend the length. YAY!
If only I had money to buy it right now. I will be stalking this item.

There are many more styles and pictures of how to wear these one their site!

Check out what I won! THANK YOU!

Look what I got! Look what I got!
I entered into a contest at the Clothes-Pin blog. And I won. I have never won before so I was SUPER excited!
Thank you so much Karen and Chickdowntown! I can't wait to wear my new "bangles".
This is such a great prize for me as I am not able to find metal bangles that fit my wrists. These stretchy bangle bracelets are so fun and colorful. Hmmm... what to wear to showcase them.... stay tuned.

Yes sorry, when I get home from work I change into jeans, a tshirt, and a sweatshirt or a my Northface jacket. I enjoy the feeling of release it gives me to change out of my "work day" clothes. Honestly though I never go to the grocery store or anywhere in sweats or similar. Jeans is my casual go to of choice.

Don't Fall in Love...

...with shoes that don't come in your size. I was so excited when I saw these shoes on Kmart.com for super cheap. When I looked closer I realized that they don't come in any size that might come close for me. I mean sometimes I can squeeze into a 10, sometimes a 10.5, and sometimes an 11. For that price, I would have TRIED any of them! Does anyone know if they ever were in a size that would work for me. And if so where can I find them!

My Three Fashion Words

Fashion blogs have become my inspiration in a very short amount of time. I like to look to my fellow bloggers to see how other creative people put clothes together.

As a teenager, I was a tomboy. I don't mean just a little bit. My daily wardrobe until my junior year of high school was a tshirt (baggy enough to cover my large chest), a pair of jeans (baggy and most of the time men's), and a pair of boots (often men's Sketcher boots. Something that would fit in the construction industry.)

I started to transition out of this "style" and I use that word loosely, my new look was a tank top (revealing) and a pair of jeans (tight). I often must have looked as though I was stuffed into my outfits. I just wanted to catch the attention of the people who previously overlooked me.

When I was transitioning into college I wore "the" college wardrobe. My daily outfit tended to be a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt layered over the tshirt. I felt that there wasn't anything to dress up for.

As I started looking at my future outside of school, I started realizing that I was going to need to create a style. I began thinking about what I wanted for a style.

I started to read some of the fashion magazines for inspiration. I have always been interested in magazines but I have always been interested in the graphic design aspect so reading magazines for the clothes became a new obsession.

When I think about what I would like to portray in my style, I think of the words:

Sleek- I don't know if I always make this mark but I am always shooting for my outfit to be sleek. I wanted to use the word classic but I don't know if the word classic means the same thing for everyone.

Bold- I like to use color, interesting patterns, accessories, shoes, or anything really to make my outfits pop. I have always been into art and design so having something be a little eye catching is fun. (At the same time I don't like to be so out there that I get stared at. It needs to be something in between and on my terms. I will try something new to see if I like it.)

Approachable- I like to wear clothes that make me comfortable and that aren't going to scare other people away. Now that I am working in the marketing field, I have been thinking about how what I look like affects the job that I do.

I like to think that my style would fit along the same lines as these people:
Eva Mendes, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Jessica Biel
I love that Eva shows off her figure in a way that is elegant yet sexy.

I love how Fergie manages to look sporty yet feminine.
I love how Gwen Stefani uses her style w/bold pieces but she always looks put together and comfortable.

Britney Spears is fun because she isn't afraid to try something new.
Jessica Biel was one of the first people I noticed as my style transitioned from tomboy to girl. She has always had a sporty vibe to her style but she knows how to use that to her advantage.

What 3 words do you use to describe your style?

Blah in color

This sweater is from my thrifting trip this weekend. $4 Bag days at the local thrift store back home. I got a couple things for our new house. (Can't wait for it to be ours!) I got a lamp and some candle stick holders. I can't wait to put them out.

I also got some clothing items. I will hopefully be showing them in the near future but I know I haven't shown you everything from last time yet.

I left you with a picture of my purse to add some color to this world.

Sweater: thrifted
Tshirt: Old Navy
Pants: JCPenney
Purse: Herbergers
Boots: DSW Sofft
Necklace: gifted from my mom (She bought it loved it but didn't think it was her. I am glad to do the necklace proud.) I wore it again today but I didn't take any pictures of my outfit today. Forgot!)

What I Like about Me

The girls at academichic set out this challenge to post five things we like about ourselves.

I was able to make a list pretty quickly as this is something that I try to work on a little bit here and a little bit there. I try not to kick myself over parts of my body that for whatever reason I don't like. I mean it isn't their fault that I haven't been eating right or working out to change them. I just try to dress them to look their best.

Five things I like:
I like my chest. (I have come to terms with the fact that it is large and I have learned to use what I have there to balance out the rest of my body. I know that I am not a slim feminine woman but I like being a bit more sporty(muscular) and curvy most of the time. I am not saying that I don't wish to be a B cup for a day or two here and there or that I am not TOTALLY envious of those of you who can wear vneck tops without showing obscene amounts of cleavage SOMETIMES!

I like my calves. I have always been happy with my legs. Over the past couple years, I have noticed less liking of my thighs but I still LOVE my calves. They look pretty good in a pencil skirt, they make me happy in shorts, and they take care of my physical needs with flying colors.

I like my eyes. I enjoy changing the color of my eyes to throw people off, but even though I am pretty blind and need corrective lenses I must say that I like the size, shape, and even the color of my eyes.

I like my lips. They are great. I don't have to do anything to them if I don't want to and they have NEVER let me down. They look cute, pouty, happy, or sad when I need them to.
I like my height. I enjoy being tall. I always HAVE enjoyed being tall. I used to get jealous of the kids who were taller than me when they finally passed me up in height. I was NOT a happy camper the day I realized my LITTLE brother was taller than me. I enjoy being tall and I try to use it to my advantage.

That wasn't so tough. The tough part for me is not adding too many buts or most of the times or other similar lines to these I likes. I could complain about my eyes for being blind but I don't mind. I have adjusted. I mean there is always someone who makes you think that you could be better in whatever way. I come across super cute small chested girls wearing something that I would never be able to get away with because of the size of my cleavage and I think that I would like to be able to wear that. But then I focus on what I can wear instead or what I like about my chest. Most of the time it takes me two seconds to decide that I am better off. I have learned to dress my chest and enjoy it.

What are five things you like about yourself?

Lip Gloss

I am not picky about what flavor. I LOVE this stuff. The only flavor I don't love is the black cherry cola and I don't hate that one either. I just don't love it.
Get to Bath and Body Works for some of their lip gloss!

Honestly... I am out here

So I am going to come out and say it... I might be on and off here for the near future. Between things that I have planned, the dawning of nice weather after a Minnesota winter, and the fact that we are stepping closer to buying a house, makes it tough to get posts out here. I will be trying to take pictures of my outfits to catch up on whenever I have time but packing and other things will be taking up a lot of my time.

I am still following everyone's blogs and I look forward to seeing all the inspiring ideas everyone comes up with.

I have recently added more blogs that I follow and I will be updating my blog roll soon. This time around I will have to look into some sorting mechanisms as I have picked up more than just fashion blogs to follow. I also am following some refashioning, crafting, and interior decorating blogs. This blogging can be addicting.

I will have more soon! Don't abandon this ship yet!
